A new job ~ Phoenix Children's Hospital visit ~ moving update

Scott has been looking for a job since October 2014.  He didn't hear anything until March and April of 2015 and then he got 12 interviews for water companies in Arizona, California, Illinois, Texas and Missouri.  It was a crazy time to try to plan a vacation but we really wanted to attend our friends' wedding in St. Louis and visit family along the way.
Our friends' wedding and their family!

Congratulations Anderson Family!!
The end of May, two days before we were to leave for St. Louis, Missouri to attend Jim and Rebecca's wedding, Scott got a job offer in Parkville, Missouri (near Kansas City).  Since we were driving through there anyway for the wedding (how cool is that?), we were able to visit where he would work and Scott met the people there.  He took the job!!  (Parkville Pictures below)

Scott just found us a house in Kansas City, Missouri to rent.  Below are some pictures of our house for the next year.

Then two weeks ago, Jayce, our 5 year old son, was admitted to Phoenix Children's Hospital (PCH) for Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes for a few days.

Poor baby doesn't feel good at all.  This is in the ER at Phoenix Children's Hospital (PCH)
He has to take insulin shots for the rest of his life now.  He gets 5 insulin shots a day!  So we've been learning how to live life with blood sugar checks, insulin shots and carb counts.

He's in good hands with Phoenix Children's Hospital (PCH) managing his care until we get settled in Missouri.

He's been getting  a lot of shots but it's helping him feel a lot better so all is good!

Being silly with daddy!
This was his last meal before he was able to go home. Nacho supreme, refried beans and ICE CREAM!!

We are thorough impressed with the care and education we've received from them so far.  PCH has been absolutely A M A Z I N G !  We are truly thankful!  Jayce is doing better now although he still has a ways to go.  Thank you so much for your prayers. We were blessed to find out that Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City has one of the top rated Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes programs in the country and is larger than the one at PCH.  PCH will manage his care until we make the transition to Children's Mercy.

"Goodbye Arizona!  We're moving to Missouri!"

Justin is staying in Phoenix for now but the rest of us are saying goodbye on July 15th! It's hard to say goodbye to our awesome family, friends and church but we're excited to see what our future holds for us in Kansas City.  We'll keep in touch!
